Karen and I were friends for years and years and I have wonderful memories of Karen - but mostly I remember we laughed a lot!!  We were also in Job's Daughters together and continued our laughing at every event we attended together.  She was taken way too early and will always remember the good times we had together.  God Bless her memory.

Your pal, Stephanie Serao

I lived on 37th avenue between Kirkham and Judah.  Karen lived around the block from me on 38th.   She use to follow her older brother and his friends (known as "the 38th gang") when they came around to our street.  We were always prepared for the worst and I thought Karen was really tough.  Did I mention we were 5 years old?  Then I got to know Karen at Francis Scott Key and found out what a good and fun friend she was.  I remember her giggle as much as her laugh.  Fortunately, Karen (and Stephanie Serao) went to GWHS too, making the transition across the park a whole lot easier.  I was deeply saddened when I heard of Karen's passing.

Thanks for the memories.  Your friend in laughter, Sharon

Karen's brother and my brother and my first husband were in the same class at GWHS.  While Karen and I were not close in school, I always kept track of her via my husband friendship with RIch..  I was shocked and saddened when she passed.  .  She was way too young.
